Job Summary
Grocery Clerk/Stocker responsible for keeping the grocery section well-stocked, receiving, storing, stocking, and rotating products, and assisting customers in locating items. Requires familiarity with store products and locations, ability to operate a scan gun, build product displays, monitor expiration dates, and handle damages/credits per policy. Must deliver exceptional customer service, meet or exceed service standards, and help with store operations such as cleaning and back-stock. Requires High School Diploma or GED with 0-3 years in retail/grocery and a valid Food Handler’s Certificate. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in teams are essential. Physical requirements include standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs. occasionally, and working a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays. Starting hourly rates range from $15-$18 (Suburban stores) or $16.60-$18 (City of Chicago stores). Benefits include health insurance, 401K with employer match, and paid vacation.
