Job Summary
Provide helpful guest service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism. Stock and display aisles to ensure products are fresh, properly rotated, and fully stocked by designated times. Assist guests in locating items on and off the sales floor, offering product suggestions and alternatives. Unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels while keeping the department clean and sanitized. Operate equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, and balers under safety guidelines. Work in a fast-paced retail environment standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally, and performing repetitive tasks.
Required Qualifications
- A helpful attitude and a commitment to excellent guest service
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety
- Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, fork lift, walk-behind lifts, balers, and compactors
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a cooler
- Ability to walk in the store
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion in order to lift product
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store
- Ability to create attractive displays
- Ability to operate equipment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
