Job Summary
Stock and display grocery aisles, ensuring products are fresh, in-date, and properly rotated while maintaining accurate inventory levels. Provide helpful guest service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product location and suggestions. Unload deliveries, organize stock, and contribute to keeping the department clean, sanitized, and tidy. Address guest concerns with professionalism and meet designated stocking goals. Work in a fast-paced retail environment requiring the ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Operate equipment such as power jacks and walk-behind lifts under training. This part-time role supports the Grocery Department Manager and team to ensure a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued.
Required Qualifications
- A helpful attitude and a commitment to excellent guest service
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety
- Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, fork lift, walk-behind lifts, balers, and compactors
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a cooler
- Ability to walk in the store
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion in order to lift product
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store
- Ability to create attractive displays
- Ability to operate equipment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
