Job Summary
Maintain exceptional customer service by sweeping, running machines, and buffing the sales floor to ensure a clean, shiny environment. Spot-wax damaged areas, keep restrooms, back rooms, and sidewalks clean, and organize all janitorial storage. Check refrigeration temperatures daily and log findings, while occasionally walking the store to verify doors are locked. Communicate any maintenance issues directly to the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or Grocery Manager. Comply with all company policies, including dress code and name tag requirements. This medium-physical role requires lifting 50 lb. boxes, exerting significant force, and working on floors that may become slippery.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lb. boxes on occasion
- Must be able to exert 25-50 lbs. of force frequently
- Must be able to exert 10-20 lbs. of force constantly
- Must have dexterous use of both hands
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments
- Good, corrected vision
- Good, corrected hearing
- Ability to stoop
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to reach
- Ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery
