Job Summary
Conduct daily store sanitation by sweeping, buffing, and spot-waxing the sales floor to maintain shine and cleanliness. Maintain restrooms, back rooms, and sidewalks as requested, while checking refrigeration temperatures and logging results. Organize janitorial storage and occasionally walk the store to verify doors are locked and secure. Communicate any maintenance issues directly to the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or Grocery Manager. Ensure compliance with all company policies, including dress code and name tag requirements. Lift 50 lb. boxes and exert significant force frequently while working on floors that may become slippery.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lb. boxes on occasion
- Must be able to exert 25-50 lbs. of force frequently
- Must be able to exert 10-20 lbs. of force constantly
- Must have dexterous use of both hands
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments
- Good, corrected vision
- Good, corrected hearing
- Ability to stoop
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to reach
- Ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery
