Job Summary
Stock and organize grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen foods, and dairy cases while rotating merchandise and maintaining neat back-stock areas. Break down deliveries, move products from the back room to the sales floor, and face shelves to keep aisles clean and presentable. Sweep floors, build promotional displays, assist customers in finding products, and record or retrieve special orders. Safely operate box cutters, balers, and other department equipment. Respond promptly to department pages and requests, assist with training new associates, and follow all health and safety requirements. Afternoon and evening shifts, particularly 3:00–8:00 p.m., available.
Required Qualifications
- Availability to work afternoon and evening shifts, particularly 3:00–8:00 p.m.
- Friendly, helpful attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service
- Dependable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to learn about the products carried throughout the department
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting
- Willingness to learn the proper use of department tools and equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail or grocery experience is a plus, but not required
