Job Summary
Stock and rotate grocery merchandise to assure quality and freshness while maintaining current product knowledge. Maintain clean, organized work areas free of hazards and ensure all displays and shelves have appropriate signage. Take inventory of back stock and floor merchandise and provide exceptional customer service to support a smooth-running grocery department. Work involves considerable physical activity, including standing or walking for more than four hours per day and handling objects up to 25 pounds. This role supports Westborn Market's family-owned, third-generation business model across four Metro Detroit locations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
- Ability to bend, lift, and reach in repetition
- Handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds
- Standing for more than four (4) hours per day
- Walking for more than four (4) hours per day
- Following basic safety precautions
