Job Summary
Oversee daily grocery department operations by directing stock crews on inventory control, ordering, and shelving conditions while maintaining clean backroom and frozen/dairy departments. Manage employee scheduling, training, and development to ensure a stable workforce, resolving conflicts and enforcing company policies regarding dress, name tags, and ethical relationships with vendors. Provide exceptional service to clientele, handle pricing and sign integrity, and assume leadership duties for the Store Director and Grocery Manager during absences. This role requires lifting 60 lb. boxes and working in environments with slippery floors, with a full-time schedule reporting directly to the Store Director.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion
- Must be able to exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently
- Must be able to exert 10/20 lbs. of force constantly
- Must have dexterous use of both hands
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments
- Must have good, corrected vision
- Must have good, corrected hearing
- Must have the ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery
