Job Summary
Direct the Grocery Assistant Manager team through daily operations, including shelving conditions, inventory control, and backroom maintenance. Oversee stock crew leaders and receivers while managing employee scheduling and training to ensure a stable workforce. Handle grocery orders, remove discontinued items, and assist the pricing coordinator with sign integrity. Maintain a clean, well-stocked environment and resolve conflicts using critical thinking skills. Ensure compliance with all company policies, government regulations, and dress codes. Requires ability to lift 60 lb. boxes and work in varied physical conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion and/or exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10/20 lbs. of force constantly while moving and handling materials and products.
- Must have dexterous use of both hands.
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items so that objects move toward areas of use.
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments utilized in the preparation of food items and/or removing product from boxes.
- Good, corrected vision.
- Good, corrected hearing.
- Ability to stoop.
- Ability to kneel.
- Ability to stand.
- Ability to reach.
- Ability to push.
- Ability to pull.
- Ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery.
