Job Summary
Direct the grocery department by managing stock crew leaders, overseeing inventory control, and ensuring daily maintenance of shelving, frozen, and dairy departments. Coordinate grocery orders, remove discontinued items, and assist the pricing coordinator with sign integrity. Train and develop employees while scheduling staff and resolving conflicts to maintain a disciplined work environment. Provide exceptional service to clientele and ensure compliance with all company policies, dress codes, and government regulations. Maintain accurate records and stay updated on store director and manager policies during their absence.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion and/or exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10/20 lbs. of force constantly while moving and handling materials and products.
- Must have dexterous use of both hands.
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items so that objects move toward areas of use.
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments utilized in the preparation of food items and/or removing product from boxes.
- Good, corrected vision.
- Good, corrected hearing.
- Ability to stoop.
- Ability to kneel.
- Ability to stand.
- Ability to reach.
- Ability to push.
- Ability to pull.
- Ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery.
