Job Summary
Direct the Grocery Assistant team by scheduling staff, managing inventory control, and overseeing stock crew operations for the grocery department. Execute daily maintenance of backroom, shelving, frozen, and dairy areas while assisting with grocery orders, pricing integrity, and removing discontinued items. Provide exceptional service to clientele, train employees on updated policies, and resolve conflicts through critical thinking to maintain a disciplined work environment. Ensure compliance with all government regulations, company standards, and vendor relationships. Requires ability to lift 60 lb. boxes, stand for extended periods, and work in varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion
- Must be able to exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently
- Must be able to exert 10/20 lbs. of force constantly
- Must have dexterous use of both hands
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments
- Must have good, corrected vision
- Must have good, corrected hearing
- Must have the ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery
