Job Summary
Provide world-class customer service as a priority by initiating contact, engaging shoppers, and following through on special orders. Create inviting, full departments by merchandising shelves, endcaps, and dynamic displays while stocking, rotating, and cleaning. Assist the manager in ordering, managing inventory levels, and addressing performance issues. Conduct active and passive demos, handle register functions including backup cashiering and returns, and support store opening and closing activities. Maintain safety and security while using SAP and inventory management software to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability and desire to provide World Class Customer Service as a number one priority including initiating customer contact, initiating conversations about products, events and services, actively engaging customers and following through
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to train and develop others
- 1 year of experience in retail experience in a grocery or retail environment
- 1 year of experience supervising others
- Ability to pass food safety training courses and/or certifications as required by law and maintain compliance by keeping certifications up to date and registered if applicable
- Ability to manage changing priorities and to stay focused with the task at hand
- Sense of urgency in the completion of tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and follow through
- Must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
