Grocery - Assistant Manager

Lead daily grocery operations by organizing materials and human resources to maximize sales and profit while maintaining quality merchandise displays and customer service. Manage the department in the manager's absence, conduct weekly sales meetings to establish objectives, and ensure all associates receive proper training and review of job goals. Oversee inventory, security, and expense control by ordering deliveries, rotating stock using first-in-first-out methods, and monitoring cooler temperatures to prevent product spoilage. Resolve customer complaints, enforce company policies and labor laws, and maintain accurate wage and hour records. Schedule staff breaks and payroll within budget while adhering to safety practices and sanitation procedures.
