Job Summary
Lead Grinder/Reel Builder responsible for overseeing daily grinding and reel-building operations at the Clinton, TN facility, ensuring efficient, safe production and scrap reprocessing. Lead and mentor operators, document ground product dimensions and weights, maintain reel supply for extrusion lines, operate a forklift, follow safety and quality policies, review production schedules, and drive continuous improvement. Requires ability to read blueprints/schematics, basic math, familiarity with grinding and extrusion equipment, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading grinding/reel-building operations preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and safety guidelines
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work 8-12 hour shifts
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Team leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Experience with scrap processing and reel supply management
