Grinder Operator

Job Summary
Grinder Operator responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines (Sunnen ID Honer or cylindrical grinder) to grind cylindrical and tapered surfaces on landing gear and aerospace components. Follow work instructions and blueprints to adjust wheel, position workpiece, dress grinding wheel, and control speeds. Use micrometers, dial indicators, and gage blocks to verify tolerances, perform size/finish work, and maintain traceability per AS9100/NADCAP quality standards. Must apply knowledge of grinding parameters, align parts using chucks or magnetic chucks, and document processes per quality systems; meet ITAR security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual machining
- Minimum 1 year of experience running ID/OD, or centerless grinder
- Document & maintain traceability in accordance with AS9100 and NADCAP
