Job Summary
Operate handheld grinders to remove excess metal and finish parts to specification; grind/finish castings, forgings, fabrications, and weldments per instructions; reposition parts; perform grinding in varied positions; read blueprints/specs; operate related equipment; verify part/document information; serialize parts; follow safety policies, including respirator requirements; shift available; sign-on bonus included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Previous experience in an industrial, mechanical, welding, machining, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to safely use handheld grinders and related power tools
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift over 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with dust, metal debris, and moderate noise levels
