Job Summary
Operate band saw, abrasive saw, sand grinder, belt grinder, and portable pneumatic grinding tools to remove projections and surplus metal from sand castings. Use hand tools including hammers, cold chisels, and files. May also operate or load the blast cleaning machine. Report production quantities and items for each work order. Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned. This role requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods in an extremely hot environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to stand, bend, twist, kneel, walk for 10+ hours
- Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in an extremely hot environment
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
- Must be able to pass respirator fit test and comply with requirements when working in regulated areas
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One to two years manufacturing experience preferred
