Job Summary
Grinder to operate handheld grinders to remove excess metal and finish parts to specification; grind and finish castings, forgings, fabrications, and weldments according to written and verbal instructions; reposition parts as needed; perform grinding in various positions; read and follow blueprints, sketches, specifications, and work instructions; operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hand trucks, scales, and banding equipment safely; verify part and document information for accuracy; record production and inspection information; serialize parts using stamping tools or vibro-tools; follow all safety policies including respirator requirements when necessary; $3,000 sign-on bonus available; 2nd Shift: 3:30pm–1:30am (Mon–Thu with training on 1st).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Ability to safely use handheld grinders and related power tools
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift over 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with dust, metal debris, and moderate noise levels
