Grind Machinist - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Operate grinding equipment and run production in accordance with established procedures, blueprints, and work instructions. Perform setup for parts using inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify quality against AQL standards. Correct dimensional problems, approve setups by other operators, and maintain accurate counts on completed and scrapped parts while completing production paperwork and database entries. Comply with all policies and procedures and perform all other duties as assigned. This position is based at our Warsaw, IN location on a 2nd or 3rd shift schedule with opportunities to advance within a close-knit team.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers
- Read and interpret blueprints and work operations sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed
- Understanding of G & M Codes
- Strong understanding of computers
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk eight hours plus per day
- Ability to work overtime (daily/weekly)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
