Job Summary
The Grill Cook prepares and cooks food for patient tray lines, cafeteria services, and special functions, ensuring safe and sanitary methods. Responsibilities include assembling and preparing food using standardized recipes, performing cleaning duties, directing cook helpers, and serving food while adhering to portion control and temperature guidelines. The role requires effective communication with other cooks about food usage, checking food temperature, and maintaining quality standards. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant cooking experience, preferably in an institutional setting, and must possess knowledge of food safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in institutional and volume cooking using standardized recipes
- Knowledge of safe food handling procedures
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
- High level of organization and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Servsafe certified
