Job Summary
Prepare all food items to meet company standards and guest expectations while reading tickets and timing preparation for top quality. Oversee food preparation, ensure modifications are executed well, and maintain proper inventory using first-in-first-out methods. Assist with training new cooks, supervising food temperatures, and conducting back-of-house opening and closing tasks. Clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils, and areas while ensuring all kitchen equipment is maintained and operational. Communicate regularly with fry, salad, and expo stations to coordinate service. Work a fluctuating schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to arrive to work on time and maintain a positive attendance record
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
- Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
- Current Food Handlers Card
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors
- Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
