Job Summary
Prepare each order by following company recipes, carryout procedures, and plating standards while ensuring proper food handling and sanitation. Cook meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, and other foods using approved equipment and methods to deliver hot, fresh, and visibly appealing meals. Maintain high standards of personal grooming and promptly change aprons if soiled. Prioritize food preparation so all items for check are finished simultaneously, and assist in other job categories as assigned. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on perfect plates and family dining experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Relies on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period
- Have strong menu knowledge
- Have ability to accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets
- Must maintain a high standards of quality and appearance for all food prepared and served
- Possess dependability
- Exceptional teamwork skills
- Must be able to stand for entire shift
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to taste and smell
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must have ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
