Job Summary
Grill Cook needed for a 36-hour, 3rd shift at Bronson Battle Creek. Responsibilities include proper cooking of meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, gravies, and entrees; work in high-volume kitchen environments; assist with patient room service and meal ordering; follow dietary orders and sanitation standards; operate Bronson Room Service system; interact with Clinical and Food & Nutrition teams; maintain safety, quality, and customer service excellence in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role may involve working across inpatient units, kitchens, and cafes, with potential duties outside of the core role as needed. Requires basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation, clear communication, ability to follow instructions, and the capacity to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to communicate clearly and understand basic verbal and written directions
- Follow basic food assembly & packaging instructions
- Read and understand English
- Basic math skills
- Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license may be required
- Experience or education demonstrating knowledge of therapeutic diets (Desired)
