Job Summary
Conduct grid connection feasibility studies and prepare detailed grid impact assessments for renewable energy, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure projects. Manage and support Distribution Network Operator/Transmission System Operator applications, including Statement of Works submissions, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with engineering, development, and project delivery teams on technical and regulatory aspects, monitor grid policy changes, and provide internal updates on regulatory implications. Prepare technical documentation and reports, advising developers on connection strategies, capacity optimization, and system flexibility. This role supports MastarRec's renewable and sustainable energy initiatives across the United States, focusing on delivering clean energy projects and improving efficiency within future-ready energy systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in a Grid Integration, Power Systems, or Network Planning role
- Strong knowledge of US electricity networks
- Experience with grid connection processes
- Proficiency in power systems modelling tools such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or IPSA
- Understanding of network planning, grid codes, and system balancing principles
- Excellent analytical, report writing, and stakeholder communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field (Master's preferred)
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies — including solar, wind, or EV charging infrastructure
- Familiarity with ENA processes, smart grid, and distributed energy technologies
- Experience with network visualization tools
- Data analysis and automation skills using Python, Excel VBA, or similar scripting tools
