Job Summary
The Grid Engineer will manage grid connection studies for solar projects using PSSE and PSCAD, prepare connection study reports and other documentation, and support projects from the connection application phase through commissioning and testing. Experience in power system modelling and power quality assessment is essential, along with proficiency in power system analysis tools. A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering is required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in power systems related roles is essential
- Preferably proficient in using power system analysis tools including PSSE, PSCAD and PowerFactory
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy (solar or wind)
- Experience in managing multiple projects and results driven
- Working knowledge of the NER (National Electricity Rules) and GPS (Generator Performance Standards).
