Grid Compliance Engineer

Job Summary
Ensure all designs and installations comply with applicable grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Support grid connection applications, including G99/G100 processes, by reviewing technical documentation and coordinating with Distribution Network Operators and Transmission System Operators. Conduct grid compliance studies, including load flow and fault level analysis, and assist in commissioning activities to validate robust solutions. Identify technical risks associated with grid connections and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving industry standards. This role supports the connection of generation assets to the electrical network, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver compliant energy solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in grid compliance, power systems or electrical engineering
- Understanding of UK grid codes and connection processes (e.g. G99, G100)
- Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them in a practical engineering context
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A methodical approach with a high level of attention to detail
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with DNOs, TSOs or within the energy/power generation sector
- Familiarity with power system analysis tools (e.g. DIgSILENT, ETAP or similar)
- Knowledge of protection systems and control schemes
