Job Summary
Greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly, outgoing manner while actively promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup. Handle merchandise with care, provide information and direction, and distribute promotional materials for special events. Check in customer merchandise for returns, verify Vendor representatives against the visitor log, and control visitor badges. Ensure entryway and surrounding work areas remain clean, tidy, and safe. Assist in customer check-in for firearms by notifying designated Outfitters, ensuring Greeters never accept or handle firearms. Maintain a professional image adhering to dress code guidelines with appropriate apparel and visible name badges.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent organization skills and attention to details
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptability to new processes and procedures
- Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift objects up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to work in low or high temperatures
- Must be able to work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- Must be able to work in noisy environments
- Must be able to walk and stand regularly
- Must be able to occasionally perform computer work
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
