Job Summary
As a Greeter, you will create a professional presence at store entryways to deter theft by engaging customers as they enter and exit. Your responsibilities include preventing theft through constant awareness of customer activity, validating receipts, recovering unpaid merchandise, and ensuring the safety of team members and customers. A successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to quickly respond to alerts, and demonstrate a capability to work with new technology. Physical requirements include frequent mobility within the store and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer service experience or asset protection experience
- Clear and professional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to actively move throughout work area for long periods of time
- Ability to respond to alerts quickly and urgently
- Ability to learn and interact with new and existing technology solutions
- Ability to use technology to document and communicate incidents
- Ability to learn and apply negotiation and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to maintain knowledge of product locations to direct customers
- Ability to work successfully with conflict
- Normal or corrected vision and hearing
- Understand, speak, read, and write fluent English
- Lift 0-25 lbs. regularly
- Use of fine motor hand functions
- Occasional high levels of physical exertion
- Able to quickly exit from an escalating situation
