Job Summary
Open the door to welcome incoming guests and ensure timely seating while managing the waitlist to escort them to tables. Communicate waiting times accurately, notify guests of specials, and assist with takeout orders, food bussing, and drink refills without serving alcohol. Maintain host station cleanliness, restock menus, and respond to customer complaints by escalating issues to the manager. Thank departing guests and solicit feedback on service quality. This role requires strong hospitality skills, knowledge of BWW menus and promotions, and proficiency in POS systems and credit card transactions. Minimum age is 16.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age (State Minor Labor Laws Supersede)
- Superior customer service and hospitality skills
- Knowledgeable of proper sanitation, food safety, and security procedures
- Knowledgeable of BWW food and beverage menus and ability to make suggestions to guests
- Knowledgeable of current marketing promotions and up-coming events to inform guests
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in order to serve BWWs guests
- Skill in time management and organization with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
- Basic mathematical skills with ability to handle money accurately process credit card transactions
- Basic knowledge of Point of Sales systems
- Conflict management skills, analytical skills, and high degree of emotional intelligence in order to recognize and solve problems that come with the position
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in restaurant environment
