Job Summary
Welcome incoming guests by opening the door, ensuring timely seating, and communicating waiting times while escorting them to tables. Manage the seating waitlist, notify guests of specials and promotions, and assist with assembling takeout orders and answering telephones. Help servers run food, buss tables, and refill drinks, while maintaining host station cleanliness and stocking menus. Respond to customer complaints, thank departing guests, and solicit feedback on service quality. Prioritize sanitation, food safety, and security procedures; process credit card transactions and handle money accurately using Point of Sales systems. Minimum age 16 required; prior restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Superior customer service and hospitality skills
- Knowledgeable of proper sanitation, food safety, and security procedures
- Knowledgeable of BWW food and beverage menus and ability to make suggestions to guests
- Knowledgeable of current marketing promotions and up-coming events to inform guests
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Skill in time management and organization with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
- Basic mathematical skills with ability to handle money accurately process credit card transactions
- Basic knowledge of Point of Sales systems

- High degree of emotional intelligence
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in restaurant environment
