Job Summary
Open the door to welcome incoming guests and ensure timely seating while managing the waitlist and communicating seating status updates. Escort guests to tables, notify them of specials and promotions, and assist with assembling takeout orders. Help run food, buss tables, and refill drinks when necessary, but do not serve alcohol if under age 21. Maintain host station cleanliness, stock menus and supplies, and respond to customer complaints by escalating issues to management. Thank departing guests and solicit feedback on service quality. This role requires minimum 16 years of age, prior restaurant or customer service experience, and proficiency in Point of Sales systems and credit card transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Superior customer service and hospitality skills
- Knowledgeable of proper sanitation, food safety, and security procedures
- Knowledgeable of BWW food and beverage menus and ability to make suggestions to guests
- Knowledgeable of current marketing promotions and up-coming events to inform guests
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Skill in time management and organization with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
- Basic mathematical skills with ability to handle money accurately process credit card transactions
- Basic knowledge of Point of Sales systems
- Conflict management skills

- High degree of emotional intelligence
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in restaurant environment
