Job Summary
Open the door and welcome incoming guests, ensuring timely seating and managing waitlists to balance server assignments. Communicate waiting times, escort guests to tables, and notify them of specials and promotions. Assist with takeout orders, answer telephones, and help run food, buss tables, and refill drinks while maintaining host station cleanliness and menu organization. Respond to customer complaints, thank departing guests, and solicit feedback. This role requires a minimum age of 16 and prior restaurant experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Superior customer service and hospitality skills
- Knowledgeable of proper sanitation, food safety, and security procedures
- Knowledgeable of BWW food and beverage menus and ability to make suggestions to guests
- Knowledgeable of current marketing promotions and up-coming events to inform guests
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Skill in time management and organization with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
- Basic mathematical skills with ability to handle money accurately process credit card transactions
- Basic knowledge of Point of Sales systems
- Conflict management skills
- Analytical skills
- High degree of emotional intelligence
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in restaurant environment
