Job Summary
The Greenskeeper is responsible for the continuous maintenance of a golf course or range, including landscaping activities such as mowing greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. Key responsibilities include safely operating motorized vehicles, using equipment like weed-eaters and blowers, edging and trimming, planting and maintaining trees and shrubs, fertilizing, pruning, and performing light irrigation duties. The role requires advanced skills in preparing the course for play and physical ability to undertake required tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Advanced experience setting cups and preparing the course for play
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to ground maintenance, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple instructions
