Job Summary
Operate mechanical equipment including mowers, weed eaters, edgers, and chainsaws to maintain the golf course, landscape beds, trees, and shrubs. Plant turf grass, flowers, and trees while pruning and trimming vegetation. Assist in construction of new greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers by grading, preparing soil, and planting. Adhere to hotel safety standards and participate in staff meetings. Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by the manager. Requires six months of landscaping experience and ability to work weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Degree (GED)
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- May be required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Will be required to work weekends and holidays
- 6 Months of landscaping experience
