Job Summary
The golf superintendent is responsible to develop and execute a sound management program ensuring the Course retains and improves its ranking, lead the Resort Grounds Team, develop a strong talent pipeline, support the Chief Engineer during the Golf off-season, maximize business performance, and oversee the scheduling and routing of personnel and equipment to maintain the golf course, hotel grounds, and related facilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in Golf Turf required
- Experience and knowledge of irrigation systems required
- Post-secondary education in turfgrass management, horticulture, agronomy, or related field.
- Pesticide and fertilizer applicator certification and knowledge of WHMIS/OHS.
- Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and planning skills.
- Valid Drivers License required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
