Job Summary
Greenhouse Technician Kimberly supports the greenhouse manager and senior technicians in all aspects of greenhouse operations, including hand crossing, seed multiplication, seedling production, leaf tissue sampling, and record keeping to support breeding programs. The role involves supervising and training employees and temporary workers to uphold quality standards and protocols, executing sugarbeet seedling production tasks, conducting crosses and pollen removal/pollination, managing marker orders and tissue sampling, maintaining daily plant-health activities, and ensuring safety policies and company procedures are followed. Occasional travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work variable hours, including occasional weekends
- Ability to work independently and in a large group
- Ability to work across multiple locations and project cycles
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
