Greenhouse Production Assistant

Production Assistants perform packing and quality-control tasks for fresh produce in an indoor greenhouse setting. They pack containers, sort and select high-quality product, identify unacceptable product, and fill containers to accurate weights using scales. They help maximize shelf life and appearance, perform repetitive tasks at a consistent pace, assist with transplanting seedlings, harvesting plants, and handling growing equipment, and help with inventory control and cold storage organization. Responsibilities include labeling, boxing, and staging materials, following GMPs, GAPs, SSOPs, and company food-safety policies, and assisting with daily and periodic cleaning of production areas and common spaces. The role requires authorization to work in the US, ability to lift 50 pounds, being able to stand for an 8-hour shift, reliable transportation, and open availability for varied schedules including holidays and weekends, with exposure to temperatures ranging from 55 to 90 degrees.
