Greenhouse Associate

Job Summary
Support the Greenhouse Manager with daily planting, transplanting, pruning, watering, weeding, and clean-up to ensure plant growth from seed to final product. Maintain optimal greenhouse conditions for temperature, humidity, and lighting while designing flower/vegetable beds, tracking supplies, and managing pesticide logs. Monitor plant health, coordinate volunteer tasks with Day Habilitation staff, and facilitate plant sales by researching venues, coordinating logistics for off-site events, and managing inventory displays. Communicate operational concerns, assist with monthly reports, and perform property walk-throughs for maintenance. This role requires flexibility for evening and weekend hours, a valid NYS driver's license, and experience in a greenhouse or nursery setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate or bachelor's degree in horticulture, environmental science, or botany
- Prior experience working in a Greenhouse or Nursery
- three (3) or more years' experience
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Experience with sales and marketing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Ability to work flex hours, including evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
