Job Summary
Green Skills Academy Apprentice on a two-year development programme to prepare for a career in low carbon heating. Maintain high attendance, complete rotational placements with trade partners, study at Highlands College for a Level 3 Diploma in Low Carbon Heating Technician, and gain practical skills in planning, sizing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and maintaining low carbon heating technologies. Attend day release and block weeks, participate in progress meetings, and follow health, safety requirements while producing task reports. Training includes hands-on technical work, soft skills development, and engagement with a Facet5 facilitator to build professional behavior.
Required Qualifications
- One of the following (or equivalent): JPQ Diploma in Mechanical Services (merit/distinction).
- Level 2 Plumbing.
- Level 2 Electrical Installations.
- Desirable: GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
