Green Acres Elementary - PT Mild/Moderate SpEd Paraprofessional (29637)

Provide dedicated one-on-one support to students with mild to moderate disabilities, assisting with academic tasks, behavior management, and social-emotional development aligned with their IEP. Communicate with parents to schedule meetings and take messages for special education teachers while maintaining accurate student files and records. Monitor students in classrooms, schools, and the community to ensure a safe learning environment, and adapt classroom work under teacher direction to reinforce lesson plans. Implement instructional behavioral programs, provide accommodations such as reading tests aloud or serving as a scribe, and assist with daily living skills including toileting and hygiene. Collect data to support the teacher and perform clerical functions like scheduling and copying materials. Work in-person with detailed attention to deadlines and priorities, adapting to changing work priorities while supporting the building administrator and special education department as required.
