Job Summary
Install, remove, and verify polyphase and single-phase meters while performing calibrations, repairs, and adjustments. Conduct power factor analysis, cross-reading verification, and customer metering layout requests. Check customer voltage, install current and voltage recorders, and assist with load surveys involving tape removal and faulty recorder replacement. Investigate power diversion and carry out transformer checks. Complete documentation and terminal input as required. Valid class G driver's license required for frequent field work. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years at community college level in electrical or instrumentation
- Completion of Meter Technician Training Course and required apprenticeship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent knowledge and understanding of meter methods of communication such as: cellular / Fibre/TCP IP / RS232 and Radio
- Must have competent working knowledge of Utility's revenue metering system
- Valid class G driver's license
