Job Summary
Administer comprehensive Class A commercial driver's license testing, including pre-trip, yard, and road examinations, ensuring fair and consistent evaluations under State of Florida and AAMVA guidelines. Inspect testing vehicles prior to exams to verify safe operating conditions and document any equipment issues. Accurately complete, process, and file all required state paperwork, training records, and examination documentation to maintain audit-ready files. Maintain a structured, professional, and neutral testing environment while communicating clearly with every candidate. As part of the national Great Lakes Testing Service examiner team, you will help remove bottlenecks for qualified candidates seeking their Class A road test.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license
- Experience administering commercial driver's license examinations
- Knowledge of State of Florida guidelines
- Knowledge of American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) guidelines
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Passion for highway safety
- Ability to maintain a structured, professional, and neutral testing environment
- Ability to demonstrate patience with examination candidates
- Ability to communicate clearly with examination candidates
