Job Summary
Grazing Unit Ranch Hand responsible for sorting, loading and processing cattle using low-stress handling; perform routine maintenance of fence lines and water systems; must be passionate about animal welfare and humane treatment; must be able to handle physical and mental challenges of livestock and represent Parker Ranch with good citizenship, work ethic, and stewardship; must have high school diploma or GED, 5+ years ranch hand experience, and a valid Hawaii driver’s license; requires operating ATV, 4x4 pickup with livestock trailer, two-way radio, cell phone, fence and plumbing tools, and various animal-health tools; basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Five or more years of ranch hand experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Hawaii Driver’s License
- Operate ATV; 4x4 Pickup truck with livestock trailer; two-way radio; cell phone; Fence and plumbing tools; Animal health & biological tools syringes, ear taggers, ear notchers, knives, dehorners & bolus apparatus, vaccines, medications
- Basic Internet Navigation, Email, and Text
