Job Summary
Provide comprehensive mental health services through assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to students experiencing mental health and personal concerns. Conduct assessments, maintain clinical documentation, and prepare required reports while connecting students with campus and community resources to address basic needs and barriers to success. Respond to campus mental health emergencies through crisis assessment, intervention, and consultation. Support departmental outreach efforts by assisting with workshops, presentations, and campus events that promote mental health awareness. Assist with developing outcomes, accountability, and predictive analytics for students receiving emergency aid services. This position is funded by a grant and is contingent upon continued grant funding. Salary ranges from $49,281.02 to $73,921.54 per year based on applicable experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
- Licensed through the state of Texas as a: Licensed Professional Counselor' Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate (LPC-A), Licensed Clinical Social Worker' Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Master Social Worker (working towards LCSW, under supervision)
- Two years to five years of similar or related experience
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Submission of three professional references
- Will require a criminal background check
- If your degree is from a country other than the United States, you must also include an evaluation from a NACES member evaluation agency indicating the U.S. equivalency of your degree
