Job Summary

Craft lead stories for evening news, track cold fronts on weather tech, and close digital ad deals as a producer, reporter, meteorologist, or sales executive. Own real-world assignments that go on air and online while creating content for social media, streaming apps, and web stories. Collaborate side-by-side with seasoned veterans to master your specialty and build a professional-grade portfolio. Dedicate 25 hours per week for 10 weeks to tell stories that matter to the Lubbock community or help local businesses grow through innovative media strategies. Earn between state minimum wage and $15.00/hr while committing to the full program duration.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university
  • Strong work ethic
  • Organizational skills
  • Must be a strong writer
  • Desire to get hands-on experience in the local media industry
  • Reliability to commit to the full 10-week program and the 25-hour weekly schedule
  • Must be a drug-free company employee (drug-free requirement)

Desired Qualifications
