Job Summary
Operate a rear-mounted grapple truck to pick up powerline poles, load trucks or rail cars, remove debris, and use a chainsaw in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Perform basic mechanical repairs such as changing hydraulic hoses and conducting safety inspections while filling out daily paperwork and using GPS and electronic logging devices. Maintain valid Class A or B CDL, lift up to 50 pounds, and work long hours including overtime and weekends in all weather conditions. All lodging is paid by the company with full health benefits, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- hands-on experience operating a knuckle boom, log loader, or grapple
- Class A or B CDL
- valid driver's license
- CDL CLASS A or B
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Basic mechanical knowledge in order to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk around inspection)
- Able to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring
- Able to learn the basic use of a smartphone
- Ability to use a smartphone, GPS, and Electronic Logging Device
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Verification of your right to work in the United States
- Satisfactory completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion and passing a drug and alcohol test
- 100% Travel
- Monday - Friday schedule with daytime hours
- Able to work long hours, overtime, and possible weekends in various weather conditions
- Able to work long hours, in all weather conditions
- Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, Repeat Same Movements, walk on uneven terrain, Lift 50 pounds, and Exposed to Loud Noises
- This is an Outdoor Position, and you will be exposed to all weather elements
