Grapple Truck Operator (Utilities-Missouri) 100% Travel

Job Summary

Operate a rear-mounted grapple truck to pick up powerline poles, load trucks or rail cars, remove debris, and use a chainsaw in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Perform daily safety walk-around inspections, make small mechanical repairs like greasing and changing hydraulic hoses, and accurately fill out daily paperwork while using a smartphone and GPS. Work long hours, overtime, and weekends in all weather conditions with a Monday through Friday schedule. Valid Class A or B CDL required. All lodging paid by the company.

Required Qualifications

  • hands-on experience operating a knuckle boom, log loader, or grapple
  • Class A or B CDL
  • valid driver's license
  • CDL CLASS A or B
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to use a smartphone
  • GPS
  • Electronic Logging Device
  • Basic mechanical knowledge in order to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk around inspection)
  • Hold valid driver's license, a CDL CLASS A or B is required
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring
  • Able to learn the basic use of a smartphone
  • Verification of your right to work in the United States, as demonstrated by your completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and your submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying your identity and work authorization within three days of starting employment
  • Satisfactory completion of a background investigation
  • Successful completion and passing a drug and alcohol test
  • Able to work long hours, overtime, and possible weekends in various weather conditions
  • Able to work long hours, in all weather conditions
  • Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, Repeat Same Movements, walk on uneven terrain, Lift 50 pounds, and Exposed to Loud Noises
  • This is an Outdoor Position, and you will be exposed to all weather elements
  • Follow all Safety Program, Policies and Procedures
