Job Summary
Operate a rear-mounted grapple truck with a Class A or B CDL to pick up powerline poles, load trucks or rail cars, remove debris, and use a chainsaw in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Perform daily safety walk-around inspections, make small mechanical repairs like changing hydraulic hoses, and fill out daily paperwork using a smartphone, GPS, and Electronic Logging Device. Work long hours, overtime, and weekends in all weather conditions while adhering to all safety policies. This full-time role includes all lodging paid by the company, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- hands-on experience operating a knuckle boom, log loader, or grapple
- Class A or B CDL
- valid driver's license
- CDL CLASS A or B
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work long hours, overtime, and possible weekends in various weather conditions
- Able to work long hours, in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge in order to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk around inspection)
- Able to learn the basic use of a smartphone
- Able to use a smartphone, GPS, and Electronic Logging Device
- Hold valid driver's license
- Able to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring
- Follow all Safety Program, Policies and Procedures
- Completely and accurately fill out daily paperwork
- Walk on uneven terrain
