Job Summary
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment per Company policy and D.O.T. regulations. Operate company vehicles safely, load and unload railroad materials using a grapple and magnet, and assist team members. Maintain vehicles and equipment by cleaning debris, organizing tools, and ensuring operational readiness to minimize downtime. Monitor daily job reporting of production and prioritize tasks effectively. Requires a valid Class A or B CDL, one year of grapple truck experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- A valid Class A CDL or Class B CDL
- Experience driving a manual transmission commercial vehicle
- At least one year of experience operating a grapple truck with hi-rail gear
- Previous relevant railroad experience
- Clean driving record (no serious traffic violations or DUIs)
- Clear a background check and pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must pass training courses prior to beginning employment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- This is a traveling position
