Job Summary
Contribute to graphics systems across Velan Studios' internal engine for a range of titles, owning multiple subsystems and working autonomously to achieve technical goals. Collaborate with the leadership team to define areas of focus and coordinate across the codebase, delivering robust rendering solutions. Requires 5+ years of graphics programming experience on console and/or mobile GPUs, strong C/C++ and GLSL skills, and hands-on experience with Vulkan, DX12, and/or Metal. Velan emphasizes autonomy, shared ownership of system design, and a collaborative approach to rendering technology in a diverse set of projects.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of graphics programming experience on console and/or mobile GPUs and knowledge of one or more current GPU architectures
- Proficiency in C, C++, and GLSL
- Experience using Vulkan, DX12, Metal, and/or other modern graphics APIs
- Autonomy in implementing and owning graphics systems; ability to work across the codebase with minimal barriers
- Ability to collaborate with leadership to define areas of focus and drive technical goals
- Experience operating within an internal engine and tools environment
